Brand Buick has published a teaser image of a new generation of Verano hatchback. The premiere of the model built on the Opel Astra platform will take place in China before the end of 2015.
Buick Verano and Verano GS will receive a sloping roof, “sliding” body lines and a radiator grille, visually combined with headlights in the form of wings. In the Verano GS version, the radiator grille will be painted in gloss black, sports stripes will appear on the body, and red brake calipers will appear behind dark five-spoke alloy wheels.
In the basic modification, Buick Verano will be powered by a 1.5-liter SIDI aspirated, working in conjunction with a six-speed manual or six-band automatic.
The turbo version of the same 1.5-liter SIDI unit develops 169 horsepower and is paired with a seven-band DCG “robot”. With this power plant, the car consumes 5.9 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers.
