According to Reuters, most future Buick models will ship to the United States from China and Germany.
At the moment, only a mid-size Buick Envision crossover is produced at the GM Chinese plant . However, from the end of 2016, the assembly of the successor to the Buick Verano sedan will be deployed there . A new generation of Buick Regal sedan is also planned to be assembled not in the homeland of the brand, but in China or Europe.
Earlier, Opel confirmed plans to expand production at its plant in Rüsselsheim. By the end of the decade, the company will launch the “optional version of Opel Insignia,” which will be available on the North American market under the Buick brand.
Thus, in the US, the assembly of only two Buick models will continue: the full-size Enclave crossover and the LaCrosse sedan.
