Scientists have found a link between TV and depression

Canadian scientists have found that watching TV and using social networks provoke the development of depression in adolescents. About this writes JAMA Pediatrics.
In social media and television programs, children often see images of more prosperous peers, which lowers their self-esteem and leads to a deterioration of mood.
At the same time, the more time adolescents spend on social networks and in front of the TV, the more serious they become symptoms of depression.
The researchers also noted that video games and computer use do not affect the mood of adolescents.
Earlier it was reported that scientists found out, video games do not make children cruel.
