The media learned about the plans of Nissan to lay off ten thousand employees

Japanese carmaker Nissan will lay off 10 thousand employees worldwide, NHK television reported.
This is due to the deterioration of the financial condition of the company: operating profit from operations decreased by 40% over the last fiscal year, sales figures in Europe and the USA are falling. The cuts will mainly affect the company’s foreign plants.
In May of this year, the company announced plans to cut 4,800 people. Obviously, this figure was doubled to reduce costs and optimize the company’s position. According to the television company, plans to reduce production lines are also being considered.
After a series of scandals and arrest of the former head of the company, Carlos Gona, the auto concern is forced to rebuild the internal structure in order to make it more transparent and efficient.
