The new Velite 6 station wagon appears in the Buick line

A few days before the opening of the Beijing Motor Show, the American premium brand Buick officially introduced the new Velite 6 station wagon . The practical car, built based on the concept of the same name in 2016, will be available in two versions – a rechargeable hybrid and an electric car.

Again, the presented “barn” Buick Velite 6 is a serial version of the concept two years ago. However, the production version of the machine received more “mundane” solutions. For example, a car received door racks and ordinary doors.

Recall that the concept was devoid of central pillars, and its doors opened against the direction of movement. In addition, the Buick Velite 6 station wagon received conventional lighting, door handles and exterior mirrors, as well as a revised design of the front of the body.

Despite the simplifications, the exterior design of the new station wagon Buick Velite 6 looks more than fresh and stylish. The overall length of the car is 4.6 meters. Unfortunately, at the moment, detailed information about the new product is not available.

As already noted, the new Buick Velite 6 station wagon will be available in two versions – a rechargeable hybrid and an electric car. Now there is information only about the hybrid version of the model. So, the “green shed” is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, a CVT and two electric motors, as well as a set of batteries.

What is the return of the hybrid power plant wagon Buick Velite 6 is still unknown. The company only stated that the average fuel consumption of new items is 4.1 liters per hundred paths. The declared power reserve of a station wagon with a full tank is up to 700 km.

More information on the new Buick Velite 6 station wagon will be published during the world premiere in Beijing. It is also known that the serial production of the model will be established at the facilities of the GM-SAIC joint venture in the Middle Kingdom.
